On the VX-III 3.5x10x40 standard duplex scopes, what is the exact subtension of the thin portion of the duplex reticle (from the thick post at one end to the thick post on the other end) at 10X power?

Would the subtension at 5X power be half this amount?
 
i believe it is 16" at 10x, and 16" at 5x (from center of x-hair to where the x-hair gets thick), or 32" from thick part of x-hair to thick part.
