Hey all, looking for some ideas for a range cart for my HP competitions. I had a welding cart from Harbor Freight, but the wheel was fubar'd and you cant get replacements for less than the cost of a new cart. Any and all ideas are appreciated. I dont have the budget for a 500$ Creedmoor BTW :banghead:

i got a used baby stroller off of craigslist for $50. Added 4, 4-wheeler style rifle brackets from walmart for $60. It works just fine.

I've seen guys use garbage cans strapped to hand carts and there are some good suggestions above but for me the cart isn't just to move my gear around. My cart is the centerpiece of my day. It holds all my gear in perfect order and lets me shoot each position with a level of comfort I can't get with a stroller. It doesn't matter which range I go to my cart is like my comfort zone.

FYI I use a stainless steel Schneller and its expensive but since I decided I will shoot more than 3 matches per year it's worth the money for me.

Good luck and shoot safe.

Converted baby cart guy here. The mounts cost more than you can pick up a used cart.

Cabela's has a three wheeled shooting cart on sale right now with free shipping, about $129 - set up for sporting clays, it will hold two long guns, plus range bag and other items. folds flat and fits in your trunk

I want one with a SEAT. Like a CAS gun cart only made of lightweight "modern" materials.
After larue last year with the dust we thought about an aluminum truck box with wheels, handle and cushions on the lid. Have a cooler, guns and "stuff" out of the dust and a place for 3 to sit.

I use a garbage can. Used to see more of them out there but it works well. a 2 wheel dolly and a couple of tie down ratchet straps and a couple of bungees and I am set.

It holds everything in a nice waterproof container. I use a stool like the creedmore but slightly smaller and it only carries enough stuff I will need for the line I am on.

I use a folding shopping cart, $19.95 at my grocery store. It folds flat to carry in the car, and holds my range bag, cased rifle and shotgun, folding chair, and a small cooler. I have a compact car, so something the size of a rolling trashcan is out.

What sort of wheels does it have? Most shopping carts I've seen are small wheels that wouldn't work well on gravel.

One of the local guys here at the weekend's High Power match just told he's got a Creedmore he's looking to sell. He's not doing Across the Course anymore.

here is my $50 craigslist buy. The 4 AVT rifle brackets cost $60 from walmart and the small plastic tub is held on by zip ties was <$10. The big wheels make it nice for getting over rough terrain and the design makes it easy to lift the front wheel over obstacels. The ability to lift the front wheel easily is nice.
