Like always with my reports all shooting was done at 15 yards.

First up the SIG P229 Legion. I love this dang gun. It is possibly the best DA SIG trigger I have yet experienced. I created an awesome group you can see below. The holes not in the group where all me. It is a sweet shooter and I did not experience a single malfunction. Very happy with it.

Next, the SIG 224 SAS. I am really surprised I like this as much as I do. I imagined being really disappointed with this gun because I expected the really short grip to give me a gun that is hard to control, but it turns out that was an unfounded fear. The recoil and muzzle flip is even less than my S&W M&P-40 Compact. All together a very controllable and accurate little shooter and again I did not experience a single malfunction.

Finally, the RIA TCM 1911 with both barrels. First up is the 9mm barrel. The recoil is much less than a 45 ACP in a 1911 but it shot very high with the sights as they were (about 5 inches high). It turns out that the sights are dialed in for the 22 TCM and the 9mm groups much higher. I did not experience a malfunction of any kind with 9mm or 22 TCM. With the 22 TCM barrel the recoil is a joke, but man is it loud and flashy. I produces a huge deep "BOOM" with each shot. It is a different noise then the one produced by with my snubbie S&W 44 magnum. The 44 Magnum is more like a lightening bolt crack and this is like a sonic boom or a super loud base drum. I also cannot stress how little perceived recoil the gun produces. I am pretty sure I could dump a mag in a heartbeat with almost no muzzle rise.

WT_ is up w/ that last 'gif' pic sequence?! How cool is that rolling fireball, or "Ring of Fire" is more like it!
How the heck did you get that on film? Do you have one of those NASA-grade high speed cameras or what?
In any case: nice post, nice guns (giddy Legion 226 owner myself) but the ROF stole the show here for me.

Thanks, I am using a high speed camera. This way I can grab individual frames in order to capture the gun cycling.

I love the fireballs. I once was shooting some Underwood .400 Corbon 155 gr., and an old guy told me when I came off the range "Son, I couldn't tell if you were shooting a gun or a flamethrower!" Well, in any case, I hope you weren't singed.

I'm glad to see some info on the .22 TCM that is not anecdotal, advertisement, or simply a criticism of the idea behind the round. I don't know if you have shot the FN Five-seven, but if you have, how would you compare recoil and accuracy between it and the .22 TCM?

Also, if you happen to have or know someone who has a chronograph, would you be willing to post some velocities?

Thanks for your post!
