After trying for 2 weeks I was finally able to catch a free lane at the range and go in to shoot my new Bond Arms Derringer. Suprisingly enough it wasn't as bad as I expected shooting 250gr flatnose 45 colt. I'm sure my hand will be a bit tender in the morning, but in any case it was a lot of fun. Now performance is what was expected you aren't getting very far away from the target if you want to hit it, not without quite a bit of practise anyhow. I've previously shot one in 357 and enjoyed it so I finally bought me one. It's heavy and bulky for a derringer, and for carry you'd be a lot better off with a snubby, but if you are looking for some great fun I highly suggest it. I will probably be dropping this one in the range bag everytime I go now just for kicks. The only issue I ran across is in shooting it SouthPaw. It has a tendency to flip the safety back on as the side of my thumb hits the cross bolt in recoil if I'm not careful. But after about 20 rounds I was able to work that out. Now I just need to get out somewhere and try some 410 buckshot then swap out to the 44spl barrels that I have
Oh yeah and here's a pic, I'll try to get one of the target up later too
