Does anyone know if the Lee shellholders work for the RCBS standard hand priming tool?

Thanks in advance.

Some shell holders will have to be modded to work. The hole on the bottom might need opening up. I got tired of modding shell holders and just started buying RCBS SHs. I don't remember of the top of my head if the Lee needed modding.

Yeah I might just spend the extra few bucks to avoid the hassle, thanks for the reply

Someone gave me a Lee shell holder once and I tried to fit it to a Rockchucker and no deal. That was about ten years ago, could have changed them by now but I doubt it.

The Lee shellholders for their priming tools won't work (since they are just flat on the bottom), but the press mounted shellholders that come with their dies work just fine on mine.

If you haven't already bought a priming tool, you might consider the RCBS APS hand priming tool. I have one and I am pleased with it. It has a "universal" shellholder, which is pretty slick.

Even some RCBS shell holders don't work! The older ones without a flare shaped recess in the bottom do not. This would be older ones. It's my experience new manufacture shell holders of both RCBS and Lee (in dies sets) fit mine.

I reload .223, .380, 9mm, .30-.30, .40, .44, & 45 ACP. Kind of inherited most of the equipment from different sources. Lee, RCBS, Lyman. All the shellholders interchange in the presses as well as in two different hand primers, except one. I put that one back in the back of a cabinet as I had another that worked fine everywhere.

I don't own any RCBS shell holders. I do own Lee shell holders and I have used them successfully, with no mods, in my RCBS hand priming tool. Since my "graduation" from a Toadmaster to a 650, I haven't had any use for hand-priming tools.

You already have the priming tool? If not, you can change directions and just get the RCBS APS priming tool with the universal shellholder. That makes it a non-issue.
