re-barrel to 6.5 Creedmoore

I'm not even sure if it can be done on either of the rifles I have but, one is a Savage 10fp in .223 and the other is a Remington 700 AAC sd in .308 caliber in a Bell and Carlson Medalist a2 style stock. Like I say, I don't even know if it can be done to either rifle with a 6.5 Creedmoore Match grade barrel or not. All input is welcomed, Thanks!

If you’re going to re-barrel, look at cartridge OAL and bolt face size.

Both can be rebarreled to 6.5c. The 700 will need to either have a barrel installed by a gunsmith, or you can install a “remage” barrel yourself with a barrel nut. No other modifications should be needed.

The savage can also be converted yourself. You would just need to order a prefit barrel in 6.5c which is widely available, and you will need to buy a 308 bolt head which usually costs about $40, and also a 308 bolt guide and 308 magazine. So it’s very much possible if you want to put the efffort and money into it.
