Recommend me a DA .22 LR that's actually in stock

Another option is the S&W model 63. I bought one new a couple years ago without any regrets. $850 range but ammo is cheap.

I have owned a lot of 22 revolvers over the years and have settled on a couple that have proven to be good. The geometry on the smaller frame kit guns like the Taurus 94 or S&W 34/63 is such that getting a nice DA trigger pull comparable to the larger frame guns is unlikely. The larger frames will have the better triggers out of the box and will improve with use. If the OP is looking for a .22 with a good trigger at a decent price have a look at the Taurus Tracker 990. It is the predecessor of the 992 but is LR only. If you can find one, you will not be disappointed. BTW, do not install weaker spring kits in a .22 revolver unless you don’t mind light strikes!

I am starting to think that the Taurus Trackers are going to give me what I want and at an affordable price. Will have to keep my eye out for one with a 4 inch or shorter barrel.

Looking at Taurus's website. You can only get the 992 Pathfinder with either a 4" or 6'5 inch barrel. To get a 3" or 2" barrel, you would have to go with the 942. The 942 uses the same frame as the 856. I've been happy with my 2" 942 and is a great trainer for my 856.

Diamondback would interest me if it wasn't stuck with those horrible traditional SAA fixed sights.

Ruger SP101 and GP100's in .22 I have zero interest in their price or super heavy triggers. I'm sure the GP100 .22 has a better DA pull than the SP, but that gun is so freakin' large and heavy that I'd get tired of just holding it up to shoot after 10 minutes.

S&W... that's one I've thought of and I'm not normally a S&W guy, but I have the feeling their DA triggers won't be bad, what holds me back is the price and current QC.
The 617’s have very good triggers. High quality revolvers. But, they are expensive.

"If I had it to do over, the Taurus Tracker in 22lr/22mag had promise. It just needed better springs and some polishing to have a decent trigger. It was accurate (and reliable)."
