Just filling in time today....and trying to post pictures....wanting to CC my S&W 686....moving my BHP to "bug status"....thought I would try to "recycle" one of my favorite holsters... Bianchi cyclone 111...... Have had this one so long...it was made before the
model was offered with two belt slots(one for cross draw-one for strong side.)
A trip to Tandy leather...cobbled together this simple rig...just for wearing under a loose jacket...can be worn like the old M3 rig...or have the additional straps and buckles for tradition shoulder holster. Drawing is smooth...slips out without dragging holster along.....carries the weight comfortably...can adjust fit.....and was considerably less expensive than a new shoulder holster ....

the 686 is a "no-dash"....have had it since 1980...came with the S&W target wood stock...went with the Houges to save the wood

Good job and some great ingenuity in recycling and reusing your old holster. I also have a Model 686 no dash and occasionally carry it in an old Uncle Mike's shoulder holster that I got for free from a local gun store I use to go to. They were going to throw it away because it didn't have any packaging and was all jumbled up. I finally got everything sorted out with it and have found it to be a very comfortable way to carry my Model 686.

thanks....Bannockburn....I can easily swap the S&W holster for the Cyclone my Browning rides in....when/if I return to CC the Browning as primary...

It looks good. I’ve been toying with the idea with an old holster for a model 15. How do you keep the strap from sliding off of your shoulder?

When I am just running errands....I just slip the strap over my head...like the M3 version or cross chest carry...zip my jacket up...but here in Oklahoma...open carry is legal with the CC permit ...so if the strap is seen...its not "printing"'

If you look...I have a series of punched holes near the shoulder...that I can attach another strap.....much like a common shoulder holster setup...across the back...down to pants belt (looks like a suspender strap)...have a simple buckle...picked up at Tandy Leather...it also provides the location for a double leather pouch speed loader case ....

I am making one other strap with a simple loop at the belt end....just to slip the belt through....which will go up/across to the shoulder strap....
