Okay. I've found some stuff in Cheaperthandirt. Like red dot scopes and sighting devices.

Great! They have NO indication of HOW to get it on the gun.

So.....if YOU were putting a red dot system on your K frame, what stuff would you use?

I like the "light rods" but will have to modify the barrel to do that as mine is a M66 without a pinned sight.

Who makes (and lists) a COMPLETE setup for making a better sighting system than the stock plastic red (that turns to black in my eye) setup from the factory?

TIA

:)

Most revo's can be set up for red dot useage with a B-Square mount .... I have one on my SBH.

I think Natchez may be worth a look, amongst others.

Here's the SBH set-up ..........

generally .. the rear sight comes out ... and that area is main attachment .. further forward then you have a clamp on pair of aluminum ''arms'' that go just below barrel center ... they seem to hold OK and don't marr the finish too much.

PsbcAim :neener:,

With that B-Square mount on your SBH it has that SRH barrel look. Good looking rig!

Joe, fine looking M15! That's one of the better looking base, ring and scope set-ups I have seen on a blued Smith!

If your 66 is a modern one, it is drilled and tapped for a scope mount under the rear sight.
I used to have have a 67 (.38) that I put a weaver type scope mount on and a Trijicon Reflex II 'scope' on. It delivered 1" groups at 25 yards.
I think the mount was a Wiegand.
Open the cylinder, on the underside of the topstrap you can see if there are holes for a scope mount. If so, just order a weaver mount and mount it. No gunsmithing.

I used the Weigand rail with my dot. I can't post a link because of the firewall but do a search on Weigand and you should find it. All dots come with standard Weaver rings that work with the Weigand rail.
