I got a Redfield Accelerator red dot sight when Natchez was closing them out at ~$130. It took a dump after less than 300 rounds. I contacted Redfield and they had me fill out a form and return it to Leupold&Stevens. That was over a month ago.

Today Leupold sent me a new Delta Point Pro 2.5moa optic!

Talk about an upgrade! and great customer support. Totally unexpected!

I was hoping the Accelerator would work out as I'd love to get a few more at $130, its zero adjustments aren't the greatest (although better than the J-Point) but the battery is the common 2032 and changes from the top, older shooters like me really need a "good enough" red dot that doesn't cost $250+ I was hoping the Accelerator would be it, seems not. :(

I have used leupolds customer service several times over the years and I found out the same thing, they have gone above and beyond what they had too. fixing or replaceing as needed with out charges. eastbank,

Well it did cost me $2.30 to mail back the broken Accelerator sight :)
I couldn't be happier!

they paid to send the new item back, so even steven. ha,ha. eastbank.

You might as well go ahead and buy a few more. If they break it sounds like you'll be getting an upgrade!

The last Leupold scope I bought new was broken, windage turret was broken. I was planning on sending it in anyway to get a German #4 Reticle installed. Leupold didn't charge me for the new reticle because in their words they were going to have to disassemble the scope anyway to fix the turret issue.

Leupold also treats their dealers very well. When I worked the gun counter at Cabela's they would send me anything I asked for. Boresighters, screws, any tool they sold, shims, turret caps, etc. Our rep knew I also had a scope mounting business on the side and was okay with supplying me too.

As an aside Leupold sells a T-15 Torx Head screwdriver. Don't know what metal they use but the heads never get rounded or buggered up.

I bought a pair of binoculars in cabelas bargain cave. They were Leupolds best. Eye cup stripped so I got them at 60% off. Sent them to Leupold and got in return a brand new upgraded set N/C.

I told the dude at Leupold what the deal was before buying. He says "no problem, just send them in"

They have been used extensively in Montana and locally. Optical quality is awesome.

Got my first Leupold rifle scope in 1979; still have it along with about 6 other Leupold scopes and two pair of Leupold binoculars. I've always heard those glowing reports about their customer service and one of my buddies has sent them a scope that they took care of right away. But after all these years I still have no experience with Leupold other than using and enjoying their products because in 38 years my seven different scopes and two binoculars have never given me a bit of trouble but it's nice to know how good their customer service is.

I bought a new Leupold VX-II had a gunsmith mount it for me because he charged very little and always did it right. The scope had a problem so I took it off and sent it back. Leupold quickly sent me a new one along with an apology and a complimentary pair of screw-in lens covers. My gunsmith felt bad about my experience so he mounted the new one at no charge in spite of my insistence that he take the money, but he wouldn't. I called to thank Leupold and told them about my gunsmith. They asked for his name and address. A week later he received a set of gun machine screws in various sizes that gunsmiths typically use in their work. My gunsmith called to tell me about his gift and said the selection of machine screws was really useful. Said they are quite expensive too. Now THAT is customer service!!

not to many horror stories coming from leupold,s service department. I have used leupolds service department several times over the last 50 years with the same results. I am a customer for life. eastbank.
