Reflex Sight Wash Out

I have a Bushnell Holosight on my Contender deer gun. I like the open style sight compared to a scope or tube red dot but in strong sunlight there's one issue: Even with new batteries and the brightness on max the reticle washes out. Shooting on a cloudy day or indoors is fine.
Are there any open-style sights that are better than others for wash out?

EOTechs have a different design that allows better viewing of the reticle. I would suggest looking into one and seeing if it's something that will work for you. The other option is a MARS sight. Other than that, there are no other options. Trijicon and Meprolight sights have horrible washout. CMore sights are generally pretty cheap. They have one decent model, but it's not going to have the brightness you need.
