after 30 years of doing my reloading on a student desk with a Lee single stage press. I have decided to move to a Hornady LnL AP. figured a new bench was in order. First Picture is of my old bench with the Lee Taken about 15 years ago after a good cleaning.

Purchased the Kobalt 6' workbench from Lowe's and it was a snap to put together. I have my Hornady LNL mounted and will get pictures later after I have everything set up the way I want it. I couldn't be happier right now. Just have to figure out where everything is going to go.

Congratulations ! Great to get a new bench. Make sure you post your finished setup here and on the Reloading Bench thread.

Looks like the new bench has more room (length)

You might consider attaching it to the wall, if you haven't already. Nice looking though.

Nice looking setup! Nice upgrade too!......Not only should you attach the bench to the wall you should also support the center portion.

This is the best picture I could find of my bench......It is smooth particle board that is fastened to a 2x6 that I ran along the wall. There are legs on the corners and if you look hard enough in the middle you can see I ran a support from the wall to the edge of the 2x4 that frames the front of the bench. The bench is very sturdy.....that middle support 2x4 helps a bunch.

Enjoy your revamped reloading experience!

Where is this reloading bench area to post at you speak of? I'm looking for more ideas.

In the sticky above,
Reloading library of wisdom, open that and go to pictures of your reloading bench

About 20 years ago I had the luxury of starting with an empty 11x13' room. One thing I did, which I have never regretted, was to set up shelves for all the components on the wall opposite of the bench. I never allow more than 1 type of powder, primer, or bullet on the reloading bench.

These photos remind me of how painfully inadequate my janky reloading bench is. Thanks for the inspiration.

Back when I loaded only a couple of calibers I did OK with a rollabout toolbox with the press mounted on it. As I added more calibers, "stuff" expanded radically...

Mostly, it seems to be brass, bullets, and powder by volume, but after a while I picked up nifty doodads and spare whatnots, all taking up space on the loading area...

i reload...in the dungeon! Off I go...to the basement...hidden away...isolated...alone. Even at that, my wife has managed to shrink my space. She can always find one...more...box...that NEEDS to be stacked under my elbow...so there goes another two square feet of floor space!

That is the price of 44 years of marriage. "Sure, honey. Put it right there."

Your new bench looks very nice. New digs and new plan= good ammo! and renewed fun!

Mark

The new bench looks great. The trouble is it will shrink with time. I have made several benches and all get smaller the longer I reload and add new calibers, bullet weights, molds, case trimers, cleaners, you get the idea.
I kind'a of remember having a clear open bench.
