Any new firearms owners or, for that matter, long-time exisiting firearms owners, we would pretty-much all of us highly recommend that you avoid these kind of situations at all costs.

There should be an honest, forthright, discussion about how many ways this could have been avoided as well as why no charges were brought.

Here's a breakdown from two different angles (video) .... again, this could've been and should've been avoided by all parties involved.

And here is a breakdown from a psychologist's point of view and, imho, probably from a fairly objective point of view if you are willing to endure this guy's delivery.

What he does question is the standard for self defense and could he be found guilty by a jury of his peers in Texas. I think that may have been key ...

I'm honestly surprised that no charges were filed, even in Texas.

As for how the shooting could have been avoided, it seems almost too obvious to bother describing. At the very least, don't walk away from an argument and return with a gun.

Well, I think there is/was more to-it than what actually happened on camera. A lot was going-on prior to the shooting .... that second video above talks about how it might have been avoided hours or days prior to the shooting.

There are a lot, A LOT, of lessons to be learned here especially for we firearms owners, CWP holders and humans in general.

Another good video breaking down the four rules/reasons for a justifiable shooting in Texas ....
