given a quick clean up, they got a good bill of health. minor stock wear-metal in very-very good condition and ex bores. .222 made in july 1958 with 24" barrel(transion rifle) and .244 made in june 1956 with 26" barrel. this makes six 722,s in my gun room, I,m a happy camper.

I only have one 72x rifle, a .30-06 long action 721 from 1950. It isn't the prettiest rifle in my safe(s), but it is one of the most accurate. At the same time, it isn't too pretty to take banging around in the boonies.

love a good 722 congrats!

I shot the 722 in .244 rem, it shot point on with Winchester 100 gr power point and 3114 fps(26"barrel) thru the crony. I was hoping it would shoot the 100 gr bullets with the1 -12 twist point on.
