Remington 7600 Extractor

Hi Everyone, disassembled a 7600 to change a broken extractor. Expected to just change out the clip style extractor only to find that this bolt has the rivet type. I thought the 7600's were all the new style. Was just wondering if some of the early models still had the rivet type or maybe the bolt was changed in this rifle.
