Went to bed last night ready to call my distributor's this morning and order about 15 Remington rifles. To my surprise every rifle on the list was up by $30.00 to $50.00 from yesterday's price. If I ordered yesterday before 5:00 pm I'd be $600 richer than I am today. Remington's accross the board 4% to 14% increase is in effect with all the distributor's I deal with, except Zanders.

So, if you want that new Remington longgun you better start beating the bushes, classifieds and auction sites for dealers still selling at yesterday's price. Last week I was buying the new REM 700 SENDERO II SF models all day long for $795.00 to $808.00, and they're all up 'round $869.00 and more today.

Ruger is the next in line for the increase, but I don't know how much or when. I was told to expect Ruger's increase by the end of August.

Thank Mr. Clinton and his "Most Favored Nation Trading Status" he granted China that exponentially boosted their economy to world dominance and to becoming the single largest consumer of the world's natural resources, as well as the lowest wage payer and worst human rights record. What steel and oil we get is so scarce it's at an all time premium on the world market, while the ChiComs make widgets with 10 cent per hour wages and we make them paying $50.00/hour wages and benefits. Having adopted our economic production and trade policies and nuclear technology from Clinton, the ChiComs are creating a richer economy and safer environment in which hard working Americans might want to relocate. Between the ChiComs raising the price on guns (and everything else) and the Democrats trying to grab'em, I might need to get into a more fruitful business. Just my 2.84593 cents of rambling.

Have a great day!

Yup yup! People have been asking me for quotes on models I don't stock and all I can tell them is, "Try to find a local dealer who has some in stock because they can probably do better than I can for a little while".

Oh well.
