Hex Cap Metric M4-0.70

Make it short (3-4mm), or grind it so.
Personally, I found even slightly longer does fine as the chamber is bored in
such a way to stop it at proper depth, and the hex-socket/some anti-seize
grease make it a breeze to remove for cleaning.

why not just go on S &s firearms or lodgewood's web site and get the right one?

Because

(A) I wanted a socket-head screw
(B) I wanted it right now.

postscript: I still have the original (reeeeeeeaaallly thin slot) screw. :banghead:
But always like spare parts on hand when itty-bitty parts somehow
disappear from the shooting bench when cleaning.



postpostscript: I just got the thing back from Dave at Lodgewood (SUPER trigger
job/straightening out a Pietta manufacturing problem), and didn't want him to
think I'd already started losing parts.
