I'm so excited! I get to go shopping for a rifle this weekend!
Yipppeeeeeeeeeeeee!!!!!!!!
I've got my heart set on a Winchester lever action 357. I know, I know, everyone says Marlin is the way to go, however one thing I consider important: I like the fact the action is a little sloppy. It's like having a little play in the steering wheel of an old truck.

Even though it had been at least 15 years since I'd fired a rifle, I shot my brother's mini 14 last weekend and loved it.
Just thought I'd share........:D

Any 357 carbine is a great choice! I love mine (which, I confess, is a Marlin ;) ); it's cheap to shoot, a great companion for your 357 revolvers (you do have several, right?), and capable of doing about 95% of what a typical North American Rifle will ever really need to do. You'll have a great time.
