I ordered the Minimal Clip from Side Guard Holsters for my new Charter Arms Undercover. This isn’t the first holster I’ve ordered from SG, but it’s my favorite!

The fit and finish are excellent! It was a bit of a tight fit when I received it, but a little leather conditioner, some Saranwrap, and a couple days of sitting made it perfect. It’s easy to draw but still has solid retention. The stiffness makes it easy to reholster.

The cut of the holster is perfect. Granted it’s a subnosed revolver, but the holster is no longer than it needs to be, which makes it very comfortable to wear - especially when sitting. The trigger is completely covered, but I have no problem getting a full grip on the butt for the drawstroke.

Erik (Srigley - the owner/craftsman) has also upgraded the hook on the holster. This one has a longer “tongue” after it curves back out, which makes for a firmer grip on the belt. The previous hooks were just a tad too shallow, which would allow them to slip out of the belt if you had to move around too much. This one holds the belt in place solidly!

Don’t be in a hurry if you order - Erik makes every holster himself. That said, he quoted a delivery time of 5-7 weeks and I got mine in about 3 weeks.

If you’re looking for a quality holster at a very good price, give Side Guard serious consideration!

That looks great. I thought it was a law that revolver holsters had to have a thumb breaks. It’s nice to see that I was wrong.

Well, I’ve never heard that before and I can only speak for the law in VA and NH, but there’s no thumb break requirement here!

That was just a joke. It just seems like revolver holsters have thumb breaks, which I don’t care for.
