Its been a while since ive posted on here, (I've been feeding my medieval side ) I have decided to get a new revolver and have chosen to go with a .357/6in barrel/stainless. What i really really want is a colt python, but frankly I just dont have 2000 sittin around. I love that vent rib look. But anyway, I need suggestions, I was leaning towards the s&w 686 but i just dont know. Suggestions????

PS ok, this is an edit, can someone give me more info on the rhino? everything you know about it, pros, cons, accuracy, reliability, warranty, customer service issues, ANYTHING you can tell me about it.

Regarding the Rhino:

Google around a bit more to find out what the problems with gun are and how Chiappa handles them.

Frankly, the best buy in revolvers is either the Ruger GP100 or the Ruger SP101. The 686 is quite good too. You can easily replace the front and rear sights on a GP100 with 4" barrel, and almost as easily change the front sight on the pinned models. The actions of the GP100/SP101 can be slicked up to be very, very nice. I did not realize how smooth the GP100 can be until I got mine. I recommend you try shooting both guns.

Yeah. It's a performance center variant of the 686 with after market walnut grips added from Nills. Great gun

Tomrkba, I read the article and will still cheerfully recommend the Rhino to anyone. It would appear he had one of the first 4-inch and 2-inch Rhinos. All of this of course detracts from the OP's original point anyway and he is not considering one from what I read here.

I have a 4" and a 6" Python as well as a 4" 686. There is no practical difference in accuracy between them. The 686 is more consistant in trigger pull while the Pythons stack their triggers. The good thing about them is that they will fit many of the same holsters. I have several holsters made for my 686 that will also fit my 4" Python perfectly.
