Revolver or Semi Auto, you don't own, only because of it's price tag?

I am disabled and have limited income. A couple years ago figured I would never own a gun that cost much over $600. Since then I’ve purchased a new S&W 617 and a used 625 and both were over $700. Now I’m thinking that $800 wouldn’t be too much for the right gun. I’d like a nice 3.5 inch model 27 but unless I stumble across an exceptional deal I don’t see it in my future

Basically any gun priced over $1600 goes out the window for me.. I'll spend more than that customizing or personalizing a gun, but I really won't spend more than that on the gun itself.

I believe in most cases, you can find a cheaper alternative that will do the same thing just as well.

So high end 1911's are out. Snake guns are out as of right now. Korth? Forget about it.

Most of mine have already been mentioned, the end 1911s, a Korth would be nice, Sig 210, Walther P88 champion

None.
It's only money.;)

There are some I wouldn't want to own, but not because of a numerical value.
It is not indulgent to find what it is one wants, and then find a way to attain it. It is living.

(I'm two sevenths of the way to owning an Ed Brown Exhibition, twelve years to go!:D)

Let's see...

A Korth. Both the revolver and the self-loading pistol.

And the crown jewel...a cased pair of flintlock duelling pistols. Originals. From a name maker.

If money were no object, I'd own revolvers from Korth and Manurhin.

Semi-autos? I'd have to have a Desert Eagle, a Beretta Billenium (I know where I can find one NIB for about $5K) and at least one SIG P210.

Hi Power and GP100

Have always wanted the Browning but the price has always been more than I was willing to pay over the years

Never got a GP100 when they were reasonable----now they are just getting too expensive

A pre lock 627 Performance Center revolver. Could have had one for $1000 last year but it sold before I got ahold of the guy. They go for $2000 to $3000 on gunbroker.

I've been pining for a Coonan .357 for months. Just can't seem to scrape the 1,800 up for gun, DROS, extra mags, tax etc.

Plus I keep finding great used guns that keep calling my name!

I'll probably never order a new Freedom Arms. I just have an issue paying that much for something that A) isn't exactly what I want (custom vs production) and B) is comprised entirely of stainless steel. Instead, I bought a used Field Grade with both .454 and .45Colt cylinders, had it fitted with some of the finest grips money can buy and still spent a lot less than buying a new one.

I'm torn on 1911's. I understand and appreciate what goes into a high grade or custom 1911 but have yet to see one that tempts me. Although I do want to have one built as a dedicated hunting pistol, a 6" model with adjustable sights in either 10mm, .45Super or .460Rowland.

I've never set a self imposed limit on what I'll spend. I have sprung for a few SIG P210s, Freedom Arms, Wilsons, Baers, etc. That being said, the original, not Nighthawk, Korth revolvers look interesting to me. But, I doubt I'd spend the price of admission for one nowadays.

HKs and Kimber are two brands that I would like but have never been able to convince myself to spend the money.
