Rifling in my 308

Will a 26" barrel with 1:12 rifling stabilize 175 grain SMKs? It's a Remington 700 SPS Varmint that I bought when I was on leave and only had time to shoot it enough to get a very rough zero before I had to leave. I have 3 boxes of Federal Gold Match 175 grain SMKs at home and found a good deal on a case of 200 of them. I like Gold Match but I've been told that 1:12 rifling won't stabilize 175 grain bullets as well as a 168, and didn't get enough time on the gun to verify this myself. The rifle is going to be a long range gun so I don't want to buy up a bunch of ammo that it won't stabilize.
