Just wondering if anybody knows why RL-19 is used in the 7x57 Mauser but not the 8x57 Mauser? Thanks

Over bore ratio. The 1mm larger barrel will require a faster powder. Some heavier bullets may work, but, usually if the mfg don't use a powder for a caliber there is a reason.

If your referring to the data they have posted, you can figure like I have been told by them, testing is expensive, and they usually only test out the things that are the most requested or popular.
That doesn't mean they don't have data for the 8mm, you should give them a call and find out from them. They simply might not have posted it in their manual due to limited use or bullet variety.

RL 19 for 8x57
Lyman manual #49 has a listing for RL 19 using the Hornady 220 SP in the 8x57. The starting charge is 45 grains with a max of 50 grains with the max being compressed.
