I received that email also. Pretty cool that they are offering those.
If you do get a .22 airgun, make sure the barrel is good for slugs. There are also different dimensions of airgun slugs, even in the same caliber. Need see what your gun of choice likes
You will need a PCP gun, slugs are heavy, so need a gun that can propel them at correct velocity.

Very interesting, and thanks for the link. I do own a .22 airgun, although it's not a PCP. Heaviest stuff I ever put through it was about 16.7 gr.. The ones I was looking at in the link were 22 gr. weight. My usual pellet weight is about 14.7 gr .and those chronograph in the mid 800fps range. The 16.7 gr. stuff loses about 100 fps velocity out of my 22 cal. Benjamin Trail. Wonder how much velocity these would lose from my gun? Too bad they don't offer small trial packs instead of a minimum of 500. If they were accurate enough it would just be a matter of trading off some velocity for some increased bullet weight. I'd love to run a few of those over my chrono just to see what kind of velocity they turn in from my airgun.

Slugs are not generally used in break open cocking rifles. The most powerful break opens are still pretty wimpy. You gotta have a PCP to take advantage and even then slugs are not universally regarded as better than pellets of similar weight. A 34 grain pellet ripped though this 'dilla and kept on going but the rifle is running about 55 fpe and can reach 60 fpe if I only need a few shots.

I shoot slugs with it but the accuracy seems to suffer though still decent.

Not the be a jerk. But RMR needs to work on more rifle bullets. I love their 224 selections. But they need to get more choices in .308. And they need to get .311-12 in. And 6mm and 6.5 mm in.
