ROA Base pin

A little over a year ago when I just got my ROA, I bent the base pin then broke it trying to straightening it. Forgot to turn the retaining pin. This was before I had a chance to shoot it. I was able to replace it. Now I almost did the same thing but was able to straighten it. I figured I better get one in reserve. It seems the supply has dried up or has doubled in price if I did find one. Any help/suggestions out there?

How do you bend two Ruger Old Army base pins anyway??

Same way both time. Not paying attention. Could blame it on age.

I find it easier to use a loader. Could be because I shoot bullets and not RB.

I have a loader but seems just as easy since I have a stand and no extra cylinders to load IF I remember to lock in the base pin.
