A friend has brought over a Rossi .38 Spl.2" revolver with the cylinder locked into the recoil plate so tightly that the hammer, trigger, extracter are all bound up. I saw this revolver when it was in "working"order and was not impressed then. Is this revolver worth attempting a rebuild or better to send to the scrap bin?

Rossie revolvers have a lifetime warranty, and their parts are not normally available to boot. I would just send it back to them.

Their phone number is 305-474-0401 .

Wouldn't trash it, just let them fix it.

Glad I could be of some help. I have one down there right now for one of my customers. He travels quite a bit and couldn't be home to recieve it. That is the only reason I'm involved, but you can ship to them directly yourself, just be sure to use Fed-Ex or UPS overnight, and include a shipping address inside as well as on a couple or three sides on the outside.

The pin in front of the cylinder, that holds the whole works on and you push to extract the spent brass, is probably loose. Mine did the same thing, I worked with it until I got it open, and discovered the problem. BTW, it has left handed threads, so you have to turn it counterclockwise to tighten it. Don't be downing my Rossi- it shoots much better than I do! (That ain't sayin' much, though!)

BillZ, 'preciate the input ! Less than three week turn around back from Rossi/Taurus. No Charge. Funny thing, my friend said the enclosed letter sent telling them of the problem was returned with the revolver unopened. I told him the problem was so obvious they didn't need to open his letter. Thanks again!

Glad it worked out good, they seem to be pretty good, besides, they won't sell most of their parts so you don't have a whole lot of options.

My friend brought me a letter from BrazTech Int'l. Customer Service that may serve us all for future reference. The letter stated if the firearm legend reads"Imported by BrazTech" it should be sent to BrazTech but if it reads "Imported by Interarms" it should be sent to their warrenty center:mad:
