Many a search and nothing found about replacing the factory grips. The factory grips melt and adhere to the frame over time.
The only close solution was the Pachmayr Compact grip #03147 which work out fairly well as shown on mine below.

So I have found these.

They are supposed to fit Rossi R352 R461 R462. They were for a S&W but somebody tooled them to fit these Rossi's.
Looking at images in listings I took my grip off my 877 and held it up to the grip image in the listing.
I may have finally found a Walnut grip that will fit.
They cost more than I want to pay, but then hopefully the work done on them will save me the time and effort that makes the extra cost worth it.
Here's the image of me holding up my revolver to the one shown in the image.

I am posting this to help others who may have searched forever like I have.
It seems nobody has found anything that fits yet and I hope that I have finally found a set.
I ordered them .... I DO NOT KNOW YET IF THESE WILL WORK!
I will follow-up in a few days.

I am NOT promoting the seller in any way.
I am somewhat skeptical at this point but to me it was worth the gamble.

Two things I noticed.

1. It looks like the grip screw may turn out to be in the way of, or rub on the hammer strut at full cock??

2. Inletting around the blackstrap is very loose and the thin sections will crack out under recoil eventually.

(Glass bed them to the gun first thing you do.)

Thanks RC ... yes I did see the area of the mainspring. Thought about that and a little grinding may be necessary.
I appreciate you reading my post and comment. A friend knows how to use the glass bedding and has the material so if needed I'll get that done too. I expect a gap between both halves and will do some adjustments.
I am determined to make these fit.
I will most likely be rounding off the pointy end at the base too. It would look and feel a bit better.
I'll update.

Grips arrived. Gonna have to use a wood chisel and take away some of the inner surface on both sides. Frame is too thick. Will also be glass bedding at least on three areas of each half. They do look OK on the gun and feel as if they will do well. Lots of work to do.

To update, I finished this project today.
I'm sure that I have the only 877 that looks like this. LOL
Well, if you have a wood shop and some patience this can be done.
There is still a bit of a gap but with some sanding on the inner recessed areas, I think I can make these flush.
These actually feel very nice and do look better than any synthetic grips. Choices are slim to nil for grips on this model.
I am pleased. It took awhile to get around to this but I'm happy with it.
Cheapest gun I have but I find I carry or tote it along more than the others. It's a good revolver. Now it's a little better.

Shot this one a bunch today and these grips are the keepers. Glad I decided to do this. They are good and tight after a good mix of 38 and .357

Final touches. Stripped the thick polyurethane finish, sanded off the sharp edges. Sanded the interior to remove the gap, walnut stain and oil rub finish. Grain really shows nicely without the factory polyurethane. This is the nicest Rossi 877 ever.
