I was at a Walmart looking to see if thay had an NEF Pardner in stock. I checked last week and they were out but expected some in. They get $117.00 for them which seemed like not a bad price. The clerk said, No they hadn't gotten any it, but wanted me to look at something they had just put in the case. It was a Rossi/Braztech combo rifle in .410/22. They only wanted $135 for it, which isn't too bad for up here in the mountains.

Came with a soft case and two barrels. Gold dot on the shotgun barrel and fiber optic sights on the .22. Guess what I will be doing this weekend?

I'll let you folks know how it works out.

I've got the same thing. Bought mine several years ago for $109.

I'm not a high-volume shooter so I can't speak for long term, but mine has worked great so far. Maybe a touch plainer than an H&R, but it makes for a great little woods gun. Switching barrels takes all of about 30 seconds.

I took the Braztech/Rossi duo out for a trial run today. 410 shoots nicely to a paper plate with no real sharp recoil. The .22 option has fiber optic sights which when adjusted allowed my Lady to keep it all in a 2" Shoot N See circle, and I was shooting the heads off of lollipops.

Real fun to shoot, and when broken down, and it its case will fit in the ammo can I have mounted on the front of the quad.

Well worth the asking price!

Grandpa Shooter, can you post some pictures and groupings of the .410 and .22? I would enjoy seeing how it shoots. Does it take .22 shorts and longs? CB caps and what not as well?

I may have to locate one and quick...

This is how the duo came, except for the shoulder pad. That I bought for my Romanian PAR 3 and it happened to fit the Rossi.

I tried to get a picture of the fiber optic sights for you. They adjust by loosening one screw for elevation and moving the whole sight up or down a ramp, and other for windage and sliding the sight left or right. Very handy set up

This is at about 25 feet, just to see the spread. Not bad for a barrel with no adjustment. I have not tried slugs yet, but with no rifling they would not likely be as accurate as you might like. Double ought or triple ought should do nicely.

This is where I brought it in just standing and shooting. I didn't have the time to bench it to see just how small a group I could get. We were using cheap Blazer long rifle.

This is how my Lady did shooting right and left handed. She really likes the little gun. The auto ejector works really well.

All said and done, for $135 at Walmart, I am pleased. They come in a real variety of combos, so you might want to go to Rossi/Braztech.com to check them out.

I had one of these, in 20/.223. My first gun. It was a lot of fun, although when I started with higher volume shooting I found that the shells tended to stick in the chamber when is got a bit heated up. Fun toys though, especially for the price.
