Had a G43 a couple years now. Got it up to 1k rounds pretty quick, but it's not a primary carry and don't take it every range trip so it's only at 1800 now. Never had any problem with it. G19s get the bulk of my 9mm.

Got close to 5000 rounds through my 2012 Shield 9mm. No malfunctions or broken parts. I also have an Airweight S&W j frame 38 special with a couple thousand rounds through it

Wow! I've gone past 40,000 rounds on my G30.3 SF. So I'll watch out for this.

Were your reloads higher pressure? Mine is a mix of my reloads and factory. Also, my reloads are a mix of factory and +p pressures.

Glock 30SF gen 3. 25,038 reloads to date minus ~ 3k factory loads. Frame cracked at around 20,400. Slide and barrel only original parts left. A couple RSAs, slide stops, and one trigger spring prior to frame crack.

Curious if Glock hooked you up with another frame or it was a repair on your dime?

The vast majority were RCBS 45-230-RN over 4.5 gr. WST. Average velocity of 780 fps. That's still my load. Hairline fracture occurred on top of the frame over the pin securing the locking block. The slide not locking back on empty mags was my only indicator. Funny thing is, Glock replaced everything for free and even completed a work order which stated replaced under warranty.

My step daughter and I went out shooting together yesterday- not her first time shooting, but the first time we went together. Had such a great time:) Mostly shot .22s, but managed to put 38 more through the used PPS M2, bringing it up to a total of 188. Everything worked fine.

First, for the most part, I don't carry a pistol with me.

Second, when I am on my property and someone is near enough to get to the gun cabinet (my wife, my son, etc.), I choose to not carry,

Third, in circumstances where someone can get between me and my house (or between me and my gun safe, which is not in my house), I carry using a shoulder holster with either a Taurus PT111 or a M1911A1.

I practice with both pistols regularly. About 20 rounds 9mm and 7 rounds 45ACP since this is what is needed to maintain accurate shooting. Quarterly, I shoot a longer set that is designed to hone my skills shooting in a self-defense situation.
