Ruger American Rimfire: Federal Hunter Match -- Chronograph Results

What do you think of your Ruger American Rimfire? I like mine so far only 200 rounds through it and still looking for the ammo it likes.



You guys have any recommendations on ammo? What does your Ruger American Rimfire like?

I don't have an American Rimfire, but that Hunter Match shoots well in my mossy 802. It's pricey here, 65 bucks a brick, but I'll probably go buy a couple from this last shipment.

I wish I had some ballistics gel or clay to test it in. But you know nothing beats the real world test. I may get a chance to take it out soon but I want to make sure I get it good and broken in so it is something I know is accurate and can count on.

I think youll be happy with both.
Ive shot a great deal of things with a .22 and a 40gr HP at 1200-1250. Ive always been happy with them.......Course everything ive shot has been larger or smaller than rabbits, and ive only ever shot a few squirrels.

Ive not had much experience with the American .22lr, but the American .22Mag is one of my buddies favorite pig blasters, He loves that little gun, and its been beat on pretty solidly and held up fine.

If i were in the market for another .22 it would likely be an American, who knows maybe ill go out and get one just because.

i had one gave it to my dad because he liked it so much they are a very nice looking action mine shot any ammo good but 40gr rn cci mini mags were very good. used it when i went t the range to shoot when my other gun was cooling i have shot many sub moa 10 shot groups a 100 yards. if the make a full stock one id love to get that.
