I've got an older model Ruger Charger and wanted to add an inexpensive optic. But I don't know what kind of rail it comes with or whether an OTW green/red dot system would work well or whether it's better on on the 10/22. Are the rails on the Charger/10-22 the same outta the box? I'm also worried about the eye relief. On eBay, I'm able to get two rails for the 10/22 from China, so would they fit the Charger?
I've found some optics that have very good reputations. They keep dialed in and two zoom, red/green settings on one are better than my Bushnell zoom scope from two decades ago. (Sold for $40.) The one I got from Amazon for $15 (with zoom) has better clarity and has red/green to boot. I don't overtighten and both scopes are pretty awful zoomed all the way in. Haven't tried the red/green dot scope for the Charger yet, so what do you think?
