I noticed that when I fired my LCP some of my shots were hitting below my aim point by as much as 1-1/2" at 30 feet. I have the 2014 production model.
Not everyone will have this problem of course. My hands are extra large and I have a tough time getting two fingers on the gun grip. I also don't use the pinky extension for CC.
When dry firing, I noticed that when the hammer fell, my trigger finger was causing the gun barrel to jerk down slightly. The trigger continues to move quite a bit after the hammer drops. I thought that if I added something behind the trigger to "buffer" that movement that it would prevent me from moving the barrel and shooting low.
I used RTV to add a short piece of automobile vacuum hose to the gun grip to give the trigger something to rest on after the hammer falls. I cut the hose to a length that allows the trigger to rest on it between 1/32" to 1/16" just before the hammer falls. That way it does not add any noticeable amount of force required to pull the trigger.
If you do this mod, you do need to make sure that the trigger resets; you should hear two clicks, when the slide is racked back and forth with the trigger pulled to the rear. If you are unsure why, only load two rounds in the magazine when you test it out.
If you don't like the mod it is easy to reverse and get back to the original configuration.
