I noticed that when I fired my LCP some of my shots were hitting below my aim point by as much as 1-1/2" at 30 feet. I have the 2014 production model.

Not everyone will have this problem of course. My hands are extra large and I have a tough time getting two fingers on the gun grip. I also don't use the pinky extension for CC.

When dry firing, I noticed that when the hammer fell, my trigger finger was causing the gun barrel to jerk down slightly. The trigger continues to move quite a bit after the hammer drops. I thought that if I added something behind the trigger to "buffer" that movement that it would prevent me from moving the barrel and shooting low.

I used RTV to add a short piece of automobile vacuum hose to the gun grip to give the trigger something to rest on after the hammer falls. I cut the hose to a length that allows the trigger to rest on it between 1/32" to 1/16" just before the hammer falls. That way it does not add any noticeable amount of force required to pull the trigger.

If you do this mod, you do need to make sure that the trigger resets; you should hear two clicks, when the slide is racked back and forth with the trigger pulled to the rear. If you are unsure why, only load two rounds in the magazine when you test it out.

If you don't like the mod it is easy to reverse and get back to the original configuration.

I had the sweet pea installed on a next gen LCP (with the dash). I found it makes my finger scrape the trigger guard. I ended up putting the next gen trigger back in and found the better curve of the triger helped with the finger purchase and my finger no longer rubs against the guard.

Just food for thought.

If I remember right few years back KelTec owners were gluing a pencil eraser to do same thing . my self Iam not going to worry about a 1 1/2 " at 30' These are close up pistols . Not target guns.

Maybe try to "discipline" your finger instead of modifying the gun. If you're jerking the gun - then you're jerking the gun. It's not a defect in the gun. The gun in question is also NOT a target pistol. Adding a soft trigger stop isn't going to make it into one.

The OP didn't mention whether this mod helped with his dry-fire issues or moved impact higher. I'd be interested to know if it helped. IMO if the nose is dropping on dry-firing, it'll probably be dropping whether the trigger has overtravel or not. But let us know.

My LCP has always hit "low". I just be sure to hold a bit higher than I normally would... covering the desired POI with my sights and then some.

Same here, same solution.
BTW, have you ever gone to St. Alfonzo's Pancake Breakfast?

OK, the Margarine Police have been dispatched to your location and yer Frank Zappa sig line won't help you now. (I sure do miss Frank)
