LGS is having a blowout sale. They have a new bull barrel Ruger Mark III for $225. Seems like a super price. Cabela s is $429

Trying to get feedback on price, and whether it’s a decent gun. Really not looking for a pistol, but 5hevprice seems really good

Thoughts appreciated

I bought a used MKII for $200.00. I think $225.00 for a MKIII wBull Barrel is a great deal!

Hurry and get it!! My MKIII is one of my favorite pistols! Great price for any form of one!

Buy it or get ready to regret it sooner than later, If you can try to buy 2 on different models wait just 1 year and keep the most of your liking , with earnings.

I've never had a Mark III, but I've had a Standard and now a Mark IV. At that price, grab it.

As the others have said, that's a steal of a buy.

Be aware that there are two main problem areas with the Mark III. One is the loaded chamber indicator. The early version could set off a round if bumped in just the right way. Ruger redesigned this, but I still don't like it. Aftermarket filler pieces are available so that you can remove it. Interestingly, Ruger did not continue this feature in the Mark IV.

The other problem is the heavy trigger pull, which is partially due to the magazine disconnect. Most serious target shooters get rid of the magazine disconnect. The best way to do this, IMO, is to substitute a Volquartsen sear and Mark II hammer. The magazine disconnect also complicates the already tricky takedown procedure.

I’m at the point in life where I’m selling off most of my guns, not buying. A vast majority of the guns I own haven’t been used in years.

I’ve got five acres, so a .22 pistol would be nice, just to grab and go out back. But, my life isn’t gonna change much one way or the other over one gun.

When they have a super blowout sale, there are no lay always or payment term. They are so cheap that they will sell fast

I guess mine isn't loosened up enough yet. It's not a difficult job but it's sure not a 30 second job---for me, anyway. Maybe I'm the problem but another 30 seconds makes no difference to me either..
