My wife just got me, I mean her, but really I mean me, a little Mini-14 tactical. The one with the traditional shaped stock.

I love the look of the rifle, the style and action is just fun to have.

It will be a while before I can get to a rifle range, but I am sure it will be a hoot.

Trust me, I know that the Mini is the a rifle to some love to hate. But if mine shoots as well as the one Hickok45 shows in his review that will be good enough for me. I have other rifles for precision shooting.

I am just sitting here smiling. Safe one is full, safe two now has a resident. ;-)

I like them too!

Congrats on the new rifle. I bought my wife (I mean me) one several years ago, a stainless Ranch model with wood stock. I always liked it a lot and it was a fun project rifle. I bedded the stock and changed the gas bushing while doing a retorque job on the gas block. It shot good after those couple mods but she never warmed up to it, said it was too heavy, and we ended up selling it. I still miss that little gun, but I think I miss almost any gun I've ever sold, no matter how sound the reason for selling them. Better luck with yours, I'm sure you'll both enjoy it.

I got the mini 14 tactical, with a 2x7x33 Redfield I can do 1 1/2" groups. good coyote rifle in my pickup, thinking about taking the scope off and going with the irons, I got some M1As too and they are unscoped too. I love my little mini. I know some LEOs that carry them as a personal rifle in their police vehicles.
