Ruger Old Army's

200th Anniversary of what? They marked their SA cartridge revolvers (and maybe other guns as well, for all I know) with something along the lines of "made in the 200th year of American Freedom" back in 1976. I have a .357 Blackhawk marked that way, but I'm too lazy to go down and dig it out of the gun cabinet for an exact quote. Were they making stainless Old Armies in 1976? Is the gun a commemorative Ruger produced for somebody else?
More data would help.

Hello windjammer,
If it has the "RCA" (Ruger Collectors Association) logo and intertwined RCA monogram on the topstrap and an eagle marked before the serial number also in the serial range of 145-01401 through 145-01600 (total of 201 made) also the barrel inscription "MADE IN THE 200th YEAR OF AMERICAN LIBERTY" then yes it is worth more. 100%-$825 98%-$675 90%-$530 80%-$400
There were others made with the barrel inscription without the RCA logo but they are not special as far as I can find. 100%-$575 down to 80%-$265.
Ruger started making the Old Army in 1972.
