I visited the website of the Riverton ,Colorado police department. They have a fascinating website and I urge you all to take a look.I read that Riverton police had excellent performance from ruger p series pistols from the p 89 to the p 90.It seems that when they upgraded to the polymer ruger p345 their luck with ruger ran out.Police experienced great trouble with the magazine disconnect on the new p345-culminating in a police officer actually losing his life in a gun battle due to the faulty disconnect. Can anyone tell me why ruger went with a magazine disconnect ? by the way ruger immediately lost heir contract after the officers death and ruger was rapidly replaced by glock-I think the model 21 45.

Seems fishy for someone to join start a new account and them slam a specific gun on the same day, without sany link to a reputable source.

my ruger p345 is the most accuarte handgun that i own. and i have had no mag disconect related issues to date.

Webpage all about Riverton, Co PD. Talks about the P345 problems and the replacement.

I'm not sure about the top of the page where it says Resident Evil Role Playing Game Briefing Sheet but the webpage seems real.

FWIW, I've seen one P345 where the little U shaped thingie on the right side grip is not flush with the grip and the gun behaves like the magazine is out of the gun. I tapped it back into place and all was well. The next time the same guy came into the range, the gun was the same way. I had to tap it in again. I think it's a pin related to the mag disconnect but I haven't looked to see on an exploded view.

That there is why I removed my mag disconnect, very accurate gun, but too bulky for me to carry.

That website is completely bogus. Look at the photos of the patrol cars; the seal and the text is clearly, and badly, Photoshopped on.

No Riverton, CO on Google Earth, LiveMaps, Rand-McNally, etc. One hit on Google brought up the result "Riverton, Colorado." Does this place even exist? Not sure what the OP's intention is, but that website is a sham.

Tapping into the immense amount of funding available from the Federal Government, city taxes, and shrewd business sense, Chief William Gates was able to multiply the department to nearly six times the size it was, and equip it with the finest equipment available – all while staying away from donations from powerful private interest groups like Umbrella Inc. In a city where considerable donations have been made by Umbrella Inc, and other large corporations, having an independent police department has become a sense of pride for the city.

Chief William Gates? Uh-huh...

Umbrella, Inc. There you go. This is just some Resident Evil roleplaying BS.

Sounds like creative writing 101.

What PD has 12k + officers/employees, but can't be found on a map.

Obvious photochop on the cars.

Someone took a lot of time to make this thing look realistic. Sort of.

What PD uses Angelfire's free space as their homepage?
