What is your favorite grip style of Ruger Single-action revolvers?

Me? I'm a HUGE Bisley fan.

As much as I dislike flaunting my ignorance -- aren't the old and new Vaquero grips the same as the XR-3 and XR-3 Red, respectively? The Vaquero is, after all, just a Blackhawk without the target sights.

^I wasn't sure Hawkmoon, which is why I added the Vaquero options. If you are right, I apologize for messing the poll up. You're probably right about this.

The Old Vaquero and XR-3Red are the same. The New Vaquero and the XR-3 are the same, size-wise. Of course the New Vaq's have Ruger's introduction into integral locks.

I have been shooting the XR-3RED grip on NMBHs for the last 6 years. I have large hands. I like thin grips on this grip frame, like the Eagle Grips Gunfighter grips, smooth for high recoil guns, checkered for low recoil.
I also have a Bisley, which also has Gunfighter grips. Not bad, but for my large hands, the hammer spur is a little low. I have handled the XR-3 grips on the 50th Anniversary model, and I like them. I would like to get one, esp. if they make it in stainless.

I'm really surprised the Bisley has so many votes. I thought I was the only one that liked this grip and design. Every buddy of mine that likes single-actions prefers the standard plowhandle grip and look. Its refreshing to see other Bisley fans around!

If Ruger ever comes out with a stainless .357 magnum Bisley and 5.5" tube, I'll be in Bisley heaven and buy (at least one of them).

We have several around, ranging from OM flattops to NMs and now a 50th with the old XR-3 size again. The NMs seem to soak up recoil better while the old smaller ones feel handier.

The friendliest seems to be a NM .45 convertible--only about 38 ozs in 4 5/8" but a pretty handfilling grip. Lightweight for its bulk and caliber but easy on the hand. Also a good--make that great--shooter.

I personally like the standard New Model Blackhawk like the one below. Excuse the Colt please.

Looks like your gonna be in luck.Accusport is gonna get Ruger to make a run of these like they have the others.

I didn't vote because my only single action is a Blackhawk .45Colt/.45 ACP convertible. It's one of if not the most accurate handguns I own but the grips don't really fit my hand. Don't have the bucks to customize with a super or Bisley grip frame so sometimes use the Pachmayr grip which fit my larger hands well. Not as pretty as wood but still not as ugly as the Hogues.
