What's your choice for best single-action .22 or .22/22 mag combo -- the Ruger Single six or the Colt Peacemaker or what? Let me know why

The single six is just so.......

D*mn wonderful. Heres mine.

Best would probably be one of Freedom Arm's versions. Best bang for the buck?
Single Six. Bought mine last week.

I'd love to have just about any kind of SA revolver. I'm more of a Colt fanboy though...
I take it .22 shorts can be used in these?

I can't think of a reason why any .22 revolver wouldn't like long rifles and anything shorter (longs, shorts, CB, etc) just as well. Of course substituting will affect either your point of aim or point of impact.

I've owned both the Single Six and the Colt New Frontier in the 22/22mag combo's.

I can't choose - they both were great guns and neither seemed to be the better of the two.

I have a 3 screw single-six with cylinders for 22lr and 22 mag. My son prefers it over my S&W K-22 (the daughter's favorite).

But this could be because Dad prefers SA revolvers.
