I have been told that Ruger Single Six revolvers are available in two flavors - the convertible kind that come with a spare .22 mag cylinder, and the non-convertible kind, marked with a little star or something on the frame.
The difference, presumably, is the the non-convertibles have a tighter bore for better accuracy with standard .22 ammo. (The convertibles have a slightly larger bore to accommodate the .22 mag).
I poked around the Ruger web site a bit and didn't find anything about this. Anybody know for sure?
