Did Ruger make any .357 Magnum Blackhawks or old model Vaqueros with 7 1/2” barrels? I don’t see any on Gunbroker and my Google skills can’t locate production numbers and I’m too cheap to buy a Fjestad’s!

Lots of .44s, .45s, .30 Carbine, but no .357s.

Thanks for any info.

I do not know for sure about the Vaqueros, but I was sure the old model Blackhawks for sure had .357 7 1/2 barrels. Guess I never noticed most were actually 6 1/2 inch barrels.Yes lots of the other calibers have plenty of the 7 inch barrels. I'd also look on Armslist for some.

J-Bar, the original Vaqueros In 7.5” were only sold in .45 Colt. I do recall hearing about New Vaqueros with 7.5” barrels but I believe they were .45s as well.

If I remember correctly a .357 with a 7.5” barrel was thought to be too heavy so Ruger never released any.

That’s interesting. They made the .30 Carbine model, and that .30 caliber hole is smaller than .357, so it should be even heavier.

Sorry, I should have clarified. I meant in the Vaquero line. I am not sure about Blackhawks.

There were a few hundred flat-tops made as 7.5's but most were 6.5". The Bisley is the only New Model .357 with a 7.5" barrel.
