S&W .38 special snubs

hello i have a model 36 snub already but it was given to me by my father who is now not with us anymore ,so i would like to hear what snub would be best for ccw,S&w snubs that is

S&W model 36 would be just fine, sure beats out a .380

The M38 is just fine as long as you don't feel the weight is too much for you, not that's it's heavy at 21oz. There are also the .38 Special +P J frames which weigh 15oz. I carry a M642 in my front pocket all day long and forget it's there. I sometimes carry my M36 too.

you can get the shrouded model, IIRC it is the 649, that will give the snag-free aspects of the 6423 with the ability of going SA when you want

In my opinion the ultimate concealment revolver is the Model 40 (steel frame) or 42 (alloy) S&Ws. Smooth, sleek, and nothing to snag when drawn from under clothing.

Slight correction. The M37/38 are "airweights", alloy with steel cylinders. Also are the 637/638, in the new S & W metallic finish. 15 oz. Lighter than the M36 and M60 (all steel). Very nice, and if you don't mind 'carry wear' on the gun, they are a very excellent choice. A few are available on internet auction, I just saw a "beater" go for $185, and a 637 for $285. I'd have no problems with the all steel heavier version, either. 649 in .357, fireball, and nasty recoil impulse, notwithstanding.

I have a model 60 in .357, but I usually shoot .38's through it. It handles the recoil from those very well; but due to the 2 1/2 inch barrel the kick with .357's is nasty.

The Bodyguard frame is my favorite style of J frame. I've been looking for a nice M38 for a while but until then I carry the M642. I was carrying a M638 for almost 2 years but my son decided he liked it a lot and when he turned 21 my M638 never seemed to be where should be!! LOL

.38 cal. Snubbies are just neat, no feeding problems, no jams, and if there's a misfire, just pull the trigger again. If you really need that extra shot, look to the S&W model 10, 15, etc, etc. and the Colt agent is a sixer too.

i bought my m36 in 1969 gave it to my daughter .keep the gun i am ready to give her my taurus m 85 and get the m36 back
