If the Sigma trigger seems to be growing harder to pull as you use it, not just its normal 8 - 10 lbs, I mean really heavy - you may need to use a good solvent under pressure to blast out the firing pin hole. The older Sigmas had a problem of allowing crud into the firing pin hole such that the striker mechanism gets blocked. If this is the problem, a few blasts with compressed air will clear it.
I got a .40 Sigma early on, and never did figure out how to get any accuracy out of it. The gun seems to shoot OK so far as barrel, etc., but I never was able to control the "twitch" when the firing pin releases. I never had that problem with the original version, which is called the Glock.
