Where exactly can one find this "US finish" on Cimarron's site, and how much does it cost extra".

I looked at their site and I can't find anything that shows a "special" "US finish"

Oh, wow. That's so weird. I really don't know what to make of it. Must be my old age.

I went through those very pages over and over last night and I didn't see that. I even downloaded their latest catalog, and all they had was 4 finishes, not 5. In fact I still have their catalog I downloaded, Cimarron-Web2015Catalog.pdf, and it only has 4 finishes.

Anyway, color me blind... literally.

BTW. It says Frontier Six Shooter on that finish. Does that mean it's only available for the Frontier line or any line? Any idea how much extra that finish costs.

No I'm assuming you can get it on most any gun, I have a 73 rifle with that finish and also two model P's and getting ready to order another.

Most people don't have any idea that you can actually get a custom gun through Cimarron, there are many options and varieties available not listed. It's all in who you know or rather who your dealer knows or how good they are in with Cimarron and Uberti since it becomes a joint effort between those two companies getting what you want.

Six of my Cimarrons were custom ordered guns and number seven is on order. They all were ordered to my specs and they even have my custom serial number on them. CLIFF1-7 I have two more I can order numbers 8 and 9 before we run out of numbers on that prefix. The serial number can only be a combination of six letters and numbers from Uberti.

I'll try and post some pictures when I get the chance.

That's true.

Well, Uberti themselves offer a lot of options, if you get their catalogue you can see there are many different finishes, engraving options, even grips.

However you need to call an importer if you want something custom and wait. The place where I bought my first 1858 told me that if I wanted something special they would be happy to order it for me.

I've wanted pretty bad to order a Cimarron 1860 Richards Type II .44Colt with engraving, "original" finish and TruIvory grips.
