A buddy of mine who is a shortwave radio freak, just emailed me, that out of europe there is news that Sadaam Hussein has been killed by members of his own military.

Has anyone else heard this, or caught any info to
confirm?

The 24 hour news networks are probably not broadcasting anything until they research the story and are sure they can report only facts and not conjecture. :D

I don't think the scenerao is that far-fetched. Imagine you are one of Sadams generals. You remember clearly the butt-kicking you got over the Kuait thing and it's about to happen again only worse. Even if you do survive the war you'll probably be captured and tried as a war criminal. Even if that doesn't happen there won't be much to go home to, between the American bombs & Sadams last minute destroy it all before you lose it tatics.
OR, you could be the guy that took care of the problem. You're a hero, probably collect a reward for your trouble.
Just hope if it happens it works out better than when Hitlers people tried to take him down.
 
Even if the reports started coming out...

I'd be suspicious he'd be faking it, (which might be a political way out, btw).


Gruesome and barbaric as it is, I've considered. with minimal seriousness, the need for a "Hall of Heads" at the Smithsonian for the likes of Saddam, Osama, and so forth.
 
Without DNA test results I will not believe Saddam is kaput. That and a full-bodied taxidermy job.

The old TFL thread was so funny. It was good to see that old TFL blue.

The best non-waterdog CT I came across this week was the one about smallpox vaccine being designed to kill 200 million Americans. ROFLMAO on that one!

Well, as long as we're doing a spellcheck, waterdog misspelled "assassinated."
 
That would be nice. It would most likely save some good men from untimely deaths.
