SAK or Multitool?

For EDC, only a SAK, for outdoor activities both, a Vic German Army and my Leatherman Wave,

The needlenose pliers are the only reason I would choose a multi over one of the larger SAK.

Leatherman XE6. Right size, strong, and easy to carry.

LM micra on my keys, LM Wave on my belt, SAK soldier in my coat pocket, a SAK copy in my desk drawer and SAK camper in the night stand.

(and another LM in the car glove box....)

Ranger SAK, and a pair of NAPA ignition pliers. These are much more usefull than any multitool I have ever used. I've carried them since 7th grade, and I'm 64, they went to Nam. If I have my pants on, they are with me.

I have a Leatherman Super Tool that was given to me right around 11 years ago. It's on my belt now. It's alway's on my belt. Same leather holster and all. I use it frequently and it is, for all practical purposes, just as good as the day it was presented to me....

I keep my Gerber Multiplier in the desk at work. I keep a pair of pliers in the door of my truck.

I carry one of several SAKs, and a Case pocketknife.

I made a mistake about the Leatherman Super Tool. I typed 17 years. I meant to type 11 years. I corrected the post. I don't know how I hit that 7 and didn't catch it when I read over the post before actually posting it....

The only problem I found with the leatherman supertool is the sharp handle, the hardness and clumpiness to get some tools out of it. The tools themselves are wonderful. I also wish it had torx screws to tighten stuff down instead of those twister things it has. those are a pain to tighten without two pair of pliers.
