I just ordered a new AR pistol barrel from Sanders Armory. The only other post I can find on this forum is from 2015...a single question and response from @JoePfeiffer. It seems that there is very little information on this company, which would be celebrating 45 years in the business this year.

So Joe, any news on how well your barrel worked out?

I’m quite surprised to find an AR barrel in stock, and just as surprised to discover this company...I’ve been trying to research companies for a new barrel for over a year. This is the first time Sanders Armory has appeared in my searches.

I had a Sanders Armory upper in 6.5 Grendel. Extremely accurate. I sold it because it was a 20” barreled upper and I found myself shooting my 18” upper a lot more.

I believe I looked up there made by bca, so should hold around a inch with good ammo.
Ouch...that may pose a problem if true. I have multiple BCA barrels..was trying to get something higher up the food chain. I'd hesitate to pay BCA what I just paid for a Sanders Arsenal 8.5" .300 Blackout pistol barrel. I like BCA products, but I know when I buy them I'm not paying for "Professional Grade". Well, we'll see. I'll be pitting this against my PSA 8.5" .300 Blackout AR Pistol.

The Sanders Armory 8.5″ 300 AAC Blackout Match Grade 416R Stainless Steel Light Weight contour barrel features 5R rifling with a 1:8 Twist rate, in addition to a Nitride Barrel Extension and a PISTOL-Length Gas system.

Expect nothing less than professional grade 300 AAC Backout barrels from Sanders Armory.

I like bca barrels but for bca prices, even bca barrels price are high but when they were all under $100 you couldn't go wrong. I hate when a place uses a bca barrel and adds 2-3x the price.

BCA has added 2-3x the price on their stuff in recent months.
Same upper I bought for 289 was something like 480 last I looked. Again good stuff, but not willing to pay that much for it.

Ya that last upper my dad got was like 260 and is close to $500 now, they say the price change are from the cost of the bear materials, but other companies haven't raised there's to much. I hope there prices go back down, I miss 40-70 dollar barrels from them.

I wonder if they are gouging, or if they were cutting margins tighter than other folks. 'Cause while parts are available, they are still selling out most places, so I can't see it as a drop in overall sales.

It seems they are, they seem to still be selling a lot of not from there site from the stuff they make for others. I have not checked it the price of steel or aluminum has gone up but I don't think it has much. Even gas is some what cheap,

I have noticed, more so since are last try at getting parts, these companies are delegating there parts to there higher price stuff. Thing they must make more off of then selling just the parts. You can't buy any parts from bca, they have been doing that since around March when I called about the upper my dad got.

Well, the interesting thing is I ordered 2 barrels last night. Both .300 Blackout pistol barrels. 7.5” black nitride from BCA, just under $100 w/free shipping, and an 8.5” stainless match grade from Sanders Armory for $154. I’ll find out who delivers, and I’ll find out which shoots better. My son wanted a 7.5” barrel, and BCA is the only in stock barrel I’ve found. I wanted him to try an 8.5” barrel first, and Sanders Armory is the only in stock barrel I’ve found.

I don't know how the sub 16" bca are there 16" plus have a 1 moa guaranty the sub 16" don't have any guaranty but seen some shoot just fine. I do wonder if Sanders does any extra like polishing the feed ramp or lap the barrel. The stuff bca makes for others are the spec the company wants, so stranded finishes maybe nicer or even custom contours, but in the end here still the same blanks.

I'm pretty sure Sanders uses Satern button rifled barrels, not BCA.
Thanks for the comment. I did see one other reference to Satern related to Sanders, but most of the comments seem to be "avoid Sanders like the plague". There just isn't a lot of data for a company that's been around for 45 years, but I'm intrigued by their 5R rifling design, which seems it may be kinder to plated bullets.

I have a 20" Sanders 6.5 Grendel upper and it is a shooter. In terms of accuracy and build quality I would put it really close to my White Oak Armory upper in 223.
I don't think you will be disappointed with Sanders.
