I found a Savage model 12 Long Range Precision in 6.5 Creedmoor online for a reasonable sum this week and agreed to buy it.

There's some good YouTube out there on these, just wondering if there are any THR owners here?

I've got one in .260. Nicely put together, sweet trigger. H-S stock fits me okay but I did need a cheekpad to get a good cheekweld but that may be due to having a 56mm objective scope on it.

I'm still working up a load for it...hasn't shot as great as I hoped but it's acceptable. I've seen some tiny groups shot with these rifles so I'm sure you'll do fine with yours.

Sure do! I have the exact rifle and caliber... I too added a kydex cheek rest to get a good cheek weld... I have it topped with a vortex viper hst and love it... I make my own brass and handload. I use accurate 4350 and 123gr Hornady amax... I use Norma .308 brass in which I neck turn and charge it with 42gr of accurate 4350, sub half moa load in my particular rifle...

Got word it shipped today :)

BTW, Tombstone Tactical has 8 more in stock at what appears to be a reasonable price compared to anywhere else I looked.

My 12 LRP in 6.5 Creedmoor is my favorite rifle. The HS precision stock it comes in is really nice for a factory stock. My first day out at the range I shot a .490" 5 shot group with it at 100 yards with factory Hornady 140 AMAX. I love that the factory Hornady Ammo fires so well through it. I have a Vortex 6-24 HST scope on it and using a ballistic calculator app I was able to make center mass hits on a torso target at 600 yards with no problem my first time out with this rifle. I really do believe your average shooter to just pick up this rifle and start shooting long range with no previous practice. My only complaint are the factory Magazines.Otherwise a Great gun.
