This is partly a reloading matter actually but - first off does anyone know the twist rate for this? I ask because I have elected to load with a top-end bullet weight. The 105 spitzer SP from Speer - wishing to finish up with a good hitting round. The rifle is no longer in production BTW.
My original scope was a higher end Tasco mildot - nice sight picture but I was finding it hard to get set up for a tight zero. Thinking scope was maybe not so hot - put on a Pentax deal.
Checked this yesterday to sight in this scope and still have a problem - shot spread is excessive. So I am getting to point where, apart from trying some other loads (currently 33.9 grains N-140) I am assuming perhaps this rather long and heavier bullet is not liking the twist rate.
So - looking for input. This is one lovely rifle tho trigger is very heavy - but I know I can get more out of it. Unfortunately I bought 300 more of these bullets at a gun show when I saw them - they are not easy to find - so want to use them!
