Savage mark II

i just wanted to show you a target i shot this afternoon. Nothing special, just some shooting with the .22



rifle: Savage Mark II w/o accutrigger
caliber: 22lr CCI Stinger 1640fps 32gr
Range:150 yards
crosswing: none, it was very calm

I have close to that same setup. Not bad for Stinger at that range.

If you like hypervelocity, try the Aguila stuff, too. Heard it tends to be a little better.

My Mark2 likes standard-velocity ammo better, but it's not really good out to 150.

i use federal bulk almost 100 of the time it's very good within 100 yards, i'll have to try the aguila. next time i'll puch it to 200 yards to see how i do.

Nothing of mine sees anything spectacular from the Federal Bulk. It works better than a lot of stuff, but nothing special.

All my guns like the Winchester Dynapoint GT. Don't know if it's really much better, but I've got a target from 75 yards I could hide the holes with a penny with. Need to dig that out and frame it.

Haven't had a chance to try the Aguila hypervelocity (Interceptor?) stuff, myself, but their regular stuff is fine. Even if it does smell like burning soap.

The Mark II series is nice. I have a couple and do most of my shooting at 100 yards (local indoor range has a 100yd rifle range). Haven't tried them out any further yet, but I plan to.

I had one and a great little tack driver... I used Wolf Match Target with a Weaver 24 x 40 T series and it would shoot BR respectfully with the Anschultz and other high dollar rifles... Everyone would get mad at me when I beat them with my "pawn shop" gun....
It pretty much touched the 10x 90% of the time.

Jeff- Hahaha!!! I'm with ya brother!!! Whenever they would put a $0.10 a shot I would loose it as well, just that added pressure. They would always tease me that the most I could loose was a buck a round... Just the pressure of knowing I was shooting against someone was enough for me.
