savage model 14 classic mounts

I need a little guidance here.. I need to mount a standard size 3-9 x 40 Leupold VX II scope to a new Savage Model 14 Classic. Using the Leupold website mount finder, I found the single piece mount (#55724). But I'm wondering if I can just find rings that mount to the drilled and tapped receiver? Or the one piece mounts to the receiver and then I find rings that fit to the mount?
